Daily School Bus Services
Bus services for after-school activities (i.e sending students home from school after supplementary lessons/enrichment programmes and co-curricular activities) departing before 4.30 pm are available at a flat rate of $5.00 per trip.
Terms & Conditons
- Seatbelts to be on at all times (no running, walking, or standing on the bus when it is in motion).
- No smoking, eating or drinking on the bus.
- No sharp objects are allowed on the bus.
- Speak softly with respectable language to one another on the Bus including the Bus Captain and Bus Attendant.
- Reservation of seats is not allowed. Each student is entitled to one seat only and bags are placed under the seat.
- Changing of clothes on the bus is not permitted.
- Pets are not allowed on the bus at all times.
- No use of devices/gadgets (radios, tape recorders, CD players, iPad, laptop or etc.) for entertainment purposes (gaming, watching of videos, etc).
- Students will board and alight from the bus at pre-designated points which are practical and safe. However, JNB Travel Pte Ltd (JNB) reserves the right to designate the pickup / drop-off point in compliance with traffic and safety rules, size of the bus and road conditions.
- JNB and any of its bus captains and/or bus attendants reserve the right to change, allocate, and enforce specific seating arrangements for students on the buses.
- Students are to strictly be seated at specific seats allocated to them by JNB and any of its bus captains and/or bus attendants, if and when instructed so.
- Students are not allowed to alight at non-designated points, other than their registered home address. For alternative stops, requests must be sent in writing by parents on behalf of their children, will be considered on a case-by-case basis and subject to space availability. No provision will be made should the child stay at an address with no existing bus service.
- When required by the school, parents/guardians must ensure that their child is met upon their arrival at the Bus drop off point. It is crucial that you are on time to meet your child as the bus cannot wait at any drop-off point or the driver may bring your child back to school and a flat fee of SGD50.00 will be charged. Parents/guardians will then be notified to come and pick up their child from school.
- Parents cannot choose the bus size or what bus they would prefer as these are carefully planned by the professionals to fairly meet the needs of the community.
- All buses leave on time after school dismissal. JNB and the school are not responsible for the transportation of students who have missed their buses as a result of their unpunctuality.
- If students do not arrive at the scheduled pick-up timing, the Bus Captain will be allowed to proceed to the next destination. The Transport Office is not obligated to call the parents and reserves the right to move on to the next destination without notice; hence parents have to arrange for their transport and no reimbursement will be provided.
- If the parents do not receive notice for the delay and the bus fails to arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled pick-up time, the student may take a regular, non-premium taxi from a registered taxi company or use Standard/Economy Services from an app-based/ride-hailing operator such as, but not limited to, Grab, Uber, Ryde, TADA, GOJEK, CDG ZIg, or any other similar services. Reimbursements of one way fare can be obtained from the Transport Office by submitting proof of payment within 4 weeks. (If there is no proof of payment, JNB will estimate the amount to be claimed based on web-based services such as StreetDirectory.com).
- If your child/ children do not require bus service for the following morning, please inform the Transport Office, and the homeroom teacher via email the day before by 4pm.
- If your child/ children do not require bus service for the afternoon bus schedule for the day itself at the earliest notice; please inform the Transport Office and the homeroom teacher via email.
- All bus details given are subject to change to accommodate new students joining or change of address for existing students. Bus allocation is determined at the discretion of JNB based upon existing bus routes. Students may be moved from one bus to another to accommodate changes in pick up routes, in which case Parents will be informed of the new bus numbers, pick up and drop off times.
- Be at your waiting point 5 minutes before schedule time.
- Parents are not permitted to ride on the school buses.
- No pushing or shoving (while on or off the bus), board and alight the bus in proper manner.
- No littering on the bus.
- No teasing, name-calling, swearing, fighting, bullying or rough play.
- Damages/vandalism to seats or equipment on the bus must be paid for by the offender.
- Bus Service Application – Unless otherwise or specifically communicated or stated, by means of, but not limited to, newsletters, announcements, e-mail, SMS, or through restricting selectable service start dates when applying for the service through JNB’s online service application form, a minimum of 4-weeks advance notice is required for all new applications. Late submission may result in the late commencement of bus service.
- Full payment must be made for any and all invoices issued by JNB within 7 days of issue, failing which JNB reserves the right to amend or terminate service with immediate effect.
- Change of Residential Address – Parents must inform the Transport Office 4 weeks’ notice in writing before the day of the move.
- Termination of Bus Services - Parents must notify the Transport Office at least 2 month prior to the beginning of the next term/quarter.
- There shall be no refunds made for unused days of service after the notice period.
- Any and all other terms and conditions specific to the school(s) your child(ren) attends.
Please note that the registration for the school bus services will be closed on 20 November 2024, 12.00 pm.
